Dover - The month of April has been designated as National Fair Housing Month. We are proud to say that this year marks the 39th Anniversary of the Delaware Fair Housing Act. The Fair Housing Act ensures that all citizens in Delaware have equal access to housing, free from discrimination. This month provides an opportunity for all Delawareans to rededicate themselves to the principles of free choice and to re-acquaint themselves with these rights and responsibilities.
The Schedule of Events for Fair Housing Month:
- April 1, 2008 - Governor's Fair Housing Proclamation Signing Ceremony, Tatnall Building, William Penn Street, Dover, 10:00 a.m.
- April 2, 2008 - Housing Opportunity of Northern Delaware Proclamation Signing Ceremony, New Castle County Executive Room, Louis L. Redding City/County Bldg., 800 French Street, Wilmington at 11:00 a.m.
- April 5, 12, 19, & 26, 2008 - Delaware Community Reinvestment Action Council Radio station, 107.9 FM, presents Fair Housing from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
- April 6, 2008 - Delaware Community Reinvestment Action Council television show, Channel 28, New Castle, Delaware from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
